We wanted to keep this shoot simple in aesthetic and color palette with various tones of green, sand, taupe and cream with added hints of plum and berry. The tree lined drive set the traditional tone for the shoot, but was modernized and softened with a clean aesthetic. I loved how the warm, metallic tones were pulled together for the tablescape paired with organic florals and clean styling for a modern approach to casual living. I worked with several new creatives in the local Dallas wedding industry and I could not be more happy with the new friendships I developed along the way!Read More
Shyler and Trevor's wedding will always hold a very special place in my heart. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met and so incredible genuine. They were married last Fall in their own backyard (seriously, how perfect is that!?) and it was such a dream! Shyler has such a sweet soul and I loved how well we worked together. I was in love with her vision from our first meeting- clean, simple and organic with a color palette of ivory, cream and lush greens. We designed a ceremony that was intimate, inviting, and full of various plants and candles. Her reception is one of my favorites to date- king's tables allowed for family style dinning (calling all brides- this is so fun and you should totally do it!!), the tables were lined with potted mums, herbs and white flowers and tables flanked with rows of warm wooden chairs. The night was filled with so many kind words, laughs and happy tears. I am forever thankful to have played a small part. Could not have done it without my wonderful team of vendors! It is always my goal to create and plan an event that is uniquely personal to my clients as a couple. Catherine and Vishal hired me nine months prior to their wedding because Catherine was feeling overwhelmed, as most brides do, about the wedding planning process.
This multi cultural Indian/American wedding was more American in style but it was still important to my clients to bring in some traditional Indian elements. Nature and the outdoors were very important and we found a private residence to host their event.Read More
Valerie and Chris were married on the first Fall weekend last year here in Texas and it was oh-so-beautiful! Their wedding took place at The Grove in Aubrey, Texas- the grounds are picturesque with tree lined alleys everywhere you looked. When Valerie came to me last March she talked about celebrating the fall season with romantic lighting and simple design. She and I worked together to create a warm and inviting color palette of cranberry, blush, blackberry, evergreen and pecan. Jessica Huston, of Root and Bloom, and I dreamed up a beautiful 20' garland installation that hung above the dance floor! To balance out the installation we chose to have alternating centerpiece designs of tall magnolia leaves and low, lush floral arrangements. I am such a sucker for mixing in a bit of metallics, so alternating gold and copper chargers were paired with matte gray plates and mother of pearl flatware. Brett Heidebrecht was behind the lense and captured it all on film- oh, how I love that black and white grain! Their day was full of so much friendship and love and it showed in all aspects of planning their wedding. It was a total joy!Read More
