D Weddings Lovely Table Contest "Editor's Choice" Winner

I am so over the moon to reveal that our table design was chosen as Editors Choice from D-Weddings in the newest Spring/Summer 2018 issue, out on newsstands now!

This shoot is a direct reflection of my own style. If I had to get married again, this would be it. Simple, Modern and oh-so Minimal. It is the perfect balance of masculine and feminine, and if you know me at all, that is my jam! Looking at these images just makes me happy. All the creative sparks were flying while I was designing this shoot. It's refreshing. It feeds my soul and brings me much purpose in this (many times) crazy world.

Spring Wedding at Brik Venue

Victoria and Will's Spring wedding is featured on Style Me Pretty Southwest! Victoria and Will have such genuine souls and I was honored to plan and design their wedding day last March. They chose Brik as their wedding venue, which offered the perfect "blank slate" to bring their vision to life!

Victoria and I met about four years ago when I designed a photography workshop she attended. We had kept in touch via social media and I was thrilled when she reached out about her own wedding! It was very clear early on that Victoria and Will wanted a wedding that was intimate, personalized and a night they could share with their closest friends.

Victoria and I had such a great time designing and planning her day, along with Pollen Events, who knocked it out of the park with the floral design! The overall design included a color palette of varying tones of lavender, farm tables with loose vines mixed with low, lush centerpieces and an abundance of soft candlelight.

I loved how we incorporated truly personal touches. Will and Victoria are both (super talented) singers and Will serenaded Victoria as she walked down the aisle, escorted by her mother and father. I think the entire room was choking back tears, at least I was!

Surrounded by a semicircle of wildflowers, they sang (yes, you read that right!) their vows to each other and guests congratulated the couple by showering them in rose petals. Tastefully Yours served a plated dinners as guests then listened to the most heartfelt toasts by the best man and maids of honor. The Royal Dukes Band and My Event is the Bomb ensured guests danced and snapped the night away! Thank you so much to Feather and Twine Photography and Rebecca Scott Films for capturing the wedding day perfectly! And of course, Victoria and Will, thank you for allowing me to create a stunning wedding alongside you both!

Simple and Organic Wedding Inspiration

We wanted to keep this shoot simple in aesthetic and color palette with various tones of green, sand, taupe and cream with added hints of plum and berry. The tree lined drive set the traditional tone for the shoot, but was modernized and softened with a clean aesthetic. I loved how the warm, metallic tones were pulled together for the tablescape paired with organic florals and clean styling for a modern approach to casual living. I worked with several new creatives in the local Dallas wedding industry and I could not be more happy with the new friendships I developed along the way!

Backyard Dallas Wedding with Becca Lea Photography

Shyler and Trevor's wedding will always hold a very special place in my heart. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met and so incredible genuine. They were married last Fall in their own backyard (seriously, how perfect is that!?) and it was such a dream! Shyler has such a sweet soul and I loved how well we worked together. I was in love with her vision from our first meeting- clean, simple and organic with a color palette of ivory, cream and lush greens. We designed a ceremony that was intimate, inviting, and full of various plants and candles. Her reception is one of my favorites to date- king's tables allowed for family style dinning (calling all brides- this is so fun and you should totally do it!!), the tables were lined with potted mums, herbs and white flowers and tables flanked with rows of warm wooden chairs. The night was filled with so many kind words, laughs and happy tears. I am forever thankful to have played a small part. Could not have done it without my wonderful team of vendors!
